Yes, Hiking Friends Travel Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is registered with the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Tourism, and affiliated with TAAN (Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal), NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association), and other tourism boards.

Yes, most travelers need a visa. You can obtain a Visa on Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu) or apply at Nepalese embassies/consulates abroad.

The best seasons are:

  • Spring (March–May): Clear skies, blooming rhododendrons.

  • Autumn (September–November): Stable weather, best mountain views.
    Winter and summer are also possible for certain treks with proper preparation.

Yes. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, medical emergencies, evacuation, and trip cancellations.

Permits depend on the trekking region. Common permits include:

  • TIMS Card (Trekkers’ Information Management System)

  • National Park / Conservation Area entry permits

  • Special restricted area permits (for Manaslu, Tsum Valley, Upper Mustang, Dolpo, etc.)
    We arrange all necessary permits for you.

Not necessarily. Many treks in Nepal are suitable for beginners with good fitness levels. For challenging treks and peak climbing, previous trekking experience is recommended.

You will stay in tea houses (lodges) run by local families on most trekking routes. They provide simple rooms, local meals, and basic facilities. On camping treks or peak climbing expeditions, we provide tents and full support staff.

Essentials include trekking boots, warm clothing, sleeping bag, trekking poles, personal medicines, and other gear depending on the season and altitude. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking.
